About us

Join our inclusive church community in the heart of Rednal

Welcome to St Stephen's Church!

We are a vibrant Christian community offering worship, fellowship and life-event services. Our congregation plays an active part of life in Rednal, reaching out through a wide range of support and activities.

Links with local schools

We are committed to supporting our local schools throughout the year. We deliver curriculum-linked sessions for Rednal Hill Infants and Juniors, Colmers Primary, Colmers Secondary, and a local nursery. Our longstanding relationship with Rednal Hill Infants enabled the school to raise funds for the church’s external defibrillator, which has already been used in an emergency.

The Pantry

We offer a twice-weekly community food pantry, in partnership with St Andrew’s and St Michael’s, offering free food, signposting for support with bills and household needs, and a listening ear.

The Pantry’s current needs are for UHT milk and tinned vegetables as our stocks of these essential items are low.

Do Drop In community lunch

Meets most Thursdays 12 – 1.30pm

The aim of the lunch club is to be a place to go that provides well-balanced healthy meals at a marginal cost to people living in Rednal.

It also provides an opportunity for local people to meet others, providing mutual companionship, support and enable new and lasting friendships to thrive in a safe environment.

On the first Thursday of the month a free mini concert is held at 11.15am with coffee and refreshments.
